I love the white, pure and clean look of milk glass. It is very inexpensive and you can find a variety at garage sales, thrift stores, Etsy and vintage antique shops.
The white bowl is not milk glass, but blends well with the other pieces.
Just add a bit of nature (and if you are lucky to have freshly picked lemons this time of the year,...what a nice treat and very juicy for making lemonade later)!
I love how the lemons look in the white bowl.....makes me wish for summer:) Beautiful collection of milk glass, looks so striking against the blue of the cabinet! pretty vignette! Thanks for sharing with us, Judy! Have a lovely day! Hugs, Poppy
ReplyDeleteThanks Poppy...I even have more milk glass! Thanks for dropping by!

I'm so glad you stopped by A Joyful Cottage and said "hello", Judy. It brought me here to your blog and this lovely post on milk glass. I have a renewed interest in milk glass and even have a Milk Glass Pinterest board I started. I've pinned one of your photos for inspiration. A few months ago my husband found a little milk glass bedside table lamp at a thrift store and brought it home for me. I love it and hope to add more pieces. Following your blog, and loving all your pretty projects. Also, I hope you'll join me for the Every Room In The House blog party. It's a month long party. We're just wrapping up January in The Kitchen, and will open up The Living Room on February 1st. Link up any post that relates to the living room -- DIY project, thrifty find, redo/makeover, whole room reveal, etc. Cheers ~ Nancy
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy for stopping by and joining my site. I have even more milk glass...It was given to me by my mother-n-law. I just set up a display for Valentines, but need to get out my camera and do some posting :). Will have to check out your Every Room In The House blog party. I have never linked into any party yet (need to get my foot in the water) :) I will check out your Pinterest too!

So pretty! Your bowl of lemons looks so fresh and cheerful! :)
ReplyDeleteSusan
Thanks Susan, I made a huge container of lemonade last week and those lemons were filled with juice and not real sour (nothing like the store bought ones)....Delicious... Wish I could share them with you! :)
